Pearses also lifted the senior league title in 1998 ending the season undefeated. Paddy managed and trained three teams within the club in 1998 (senior, intermediate and junior).
Paddy remained as trainer and manager with the Pearses camogie club until the end of the 2002 season. He won five senior championship and league titles in a row with the Pearses (1998 – 2002), in addition he won two junior championship titles and one junior league title in these years. In 1999 Paddy assisted Pearses win all London camogie titles with both the junior and senior teams winning league and championship doubles.
In 2003 Paddy found himself having to step down from his position as trainer and manager within the club due to personal reasons. Paddy maintained his contact and interest in the club and its achievements and in 2006 he once again saw the Pearses lift senior championship and league titles. Although not trainer or manager in 2006 Paddy was frequently seen at the Pearses matches and his opinion sought from others in charge such was the respect and knowledge he had of the game. Paddy’s presence alone on the sideline lifted the Pearses girls such was his passion for the game and their respect for him.

Paddy had a great love for the game of hurling. He spent time and effort training and coaching players of all standards and abilities. He was competitive and loved to win but he was also gracious in defeat. A wonderful sportsperson who will be sadly missed but never forgotten. |
